This is a very good quality barrel unlike those less expensive competitor products that fall apart.  Keep your barrel full for 12 weeks or longer.  Longer is better.  The proof will not change but the smoothness and taste will definitely improve.  Included in your purchase is an whiskey aging barrel, bung, spigot and stand.  Take your favorite spirits from the bottle and restart the aging process.  Product may vary slightly from the photos because everything is hand made.
